DSG / DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission)
A computer-controlled twin-clutch auto used in VW Group, Ford PowerShift, Hyundai N and others.
DSGs shift fast but have a poor reliability reputation: mechatronic unit failures (VW), shuddering and clutch wear (Ford PowerShift). Repair costs run $3,500–$7,500. On a PPI we drive in slow stop-start traffic to surface the symptoms a quick test drive won't.
