A 'one-owner' Ranger that had been hit hard at the rear

2022 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0L V6 — 41,200km · Blacktown

Dealer listing, 'no accident history'. Our paint-depth gauge read 380μm across the tailgate and rear quarter — twice the factory thickness. The dealer eventually disclosed the vehicle was a recorded repairable write-off.

A 2021 Tesla Model 3 degrading twice as fast as it should

2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range — 78,400km · Balmain

Private seller. Asking $42,990. Listing claimed 'genuine 480km range'. Our AVILOO flash test put the pack at 82.4% SoH — well below the ~90% expected for the year and km, and degrading on a trajectory that points to an out-of-warranty replacement bill the next owner inherits.

A 2023 BYD Atto 3 that genuinely was as good as the listing said

2023 BYD Atto 3 Extended Range — 22,400km · Chatswood

FIVE STAR fabulous all I can say! I opted for their top inspection report option at approx $450 and I'm so glad I did. After the mechanical assessment the inspector then went on to negotiate a lesser price than what I had already negotiated — he leveraged his further findings. I've got back a lot more than what the report cost me. Same-day inspection with the report available later that day. Extremely thorough, professional, friendly and diligent. Highly recommend.

You guys are legends! You not only carried out a thorough inspection of my car, but you also helped negotiate the purchase price with the dealer. The money spent on your service was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend anyone buying a used car to use your service — you can buy with confidence and without hesitation. Thank you for making the whole process so easy!

Man o Man, these guys are so amazing, like an angel. They helped me with not only doing a mechanic check for a car that I purchased for my dad in Sydney from NZ. They also helped with the car transfer for my elderly dad and made sure the paperwork was all good. Their report was great and I used it to get the seller to fix all the major faults. No question is too small or big for them. Himanshu was so great with all my queries 👍. Keep up the good work boys.

Had a great experience with Aussie Auto Care for a vehicle inspection. The report was thorough, easy to understand, and delivered promptly. The team was professional, helpful, and took the time to explain their findings clearly. Gave me confidence in my purchase decision. Highly recommend.

Frequently asked

Everything you need to know before booking

Real answers from our Sydney mobile inspection team. Still unsure? Call 02 8320 1246.

How fast can you inspect a car in Sydney?

Most pre-purchase inspections across Greater Sydney are booked same-day if you book before 11am, otherwise next-day. Pick a 2-hour window when you book online — our mobile inspector arrives at the seller's address, completes the 200+ point inspection on site, and your written photo report and verbal walk-through are issued instantly on-site for Comprehensive & Elite, same day for Essential.

What's included in a mobile pre-purchase inspection?

A 200+ point check covering engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, electronics, body, glass, tyres, undercarriage and a short road test. You receive a written report with photos of every fault, a verbal walk-through by phone, and a clear buy / negotiate / walk-away recommendation. PPSR check and service-history review are included.

Do you inspect EVs and hybrids?

Yes. Add our EV / Hybrid Battery Test add-on to any inspection tier (Essential, Comprehensive or Elite). We run a battery State of Health flash test, BMS scan, charging-port test and 12V auxiliary check across Tesla, BYD, Polestar, Kia EV, Hyundai Ioniq, MG and the major hybrid platforms.

What suburbs do you cover across Sydney?

All of Greater Sydney — Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Sutherland Shire, Western Sydney, Hills District, South West, Macarthur and the Central Coast. No travel surcharge inside the metro area. Outside metro? Mention it at booking and we'll quote travel if any.

How much does a mobile car inspection cost?

Essential pre-purchase inspection from $199. Comprehensive inspection $329. Elite Buyers' Protection with on-site price negotiation $449. Light Truck inspection $329. Add-ons available for EV / hybrid battery test, cold-start tests and senior inspector. All prices include GST.

How do I pay for my inspection?

Payment is secured online when you book — Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Afterpay. This locks your slot and lets the inspector head straight to the vehicle. We never share card details with sellers or dealers.

What happens if the car fails the inspection?

You receive a full written report with photo evidence of every fault, a verbal call from your inspector to talk through the impact, and a clear walk-away or negotiate recommendation. On the Elite tier we can negotiate the price down with the seller on your behalf — buyers typically save 1–15% on the asking price.
