Dean started at Ultratune Marrickville in 2003, moved into VW dealer diagnostics, then went out on his own in 2017. He'd spent years watching customers roll in with problems that should've been caught before they bought the car. Started Aussie Auto Care because he figured mobile inspections were the simplest way to stop that happening.

"I still get annoyed when I find a car that's been patched up to sell. That's the whole reason I do this."

Seven years in an OEM battery lab before she got sick of watching R&D reports sit in drawers. Joined us to build the EV inspection side — wrote the degradation models we now use across Tesla, BYD, Polestar, MG and the Korean brands. Lower North Shore EV bookings usually land with her because she lives nearby and knows the local charging infrastructure.

"The battery pack is half the value of a used EV. Most people don't check it. We do."

Came from a 4WD workshop in Caringbah. Spends most of his day finding stuff sellers hope you won't notice — bent rails, cracked housings, fresh underbody paint, the lot. Covers Sutherland Shire and St George, and doesn't mind getting dirty.

"Sellers clean the engine bay and hoover the carpets. I look underneath."

Ex-Ford diesel tech. Runs Parramatta through to Campbelltown. Does a lot of ute and van inspections — Rangers, Hiluxes, D-Maxes, Amaroks. Knows what a worked diesel actually looks like versus what the odometer says. Dealers tend to hate him.

"A clean interior doesn't mean the engine hasn't been flogged. You have to check the logs and the hardware."

Handles the phones, booking slots, dealer access, payments and follow-ups. If a yard won't let us in or wants to move the car before we get there, she sorts it before the inspector even leaves. She's been in automotive service desks long enough to know every excuse.

"People are stressed when they call. My job is to make the booking the easy part."
