Issue: Takata Alpha-type driver airbag inflator may rupture on deployment.
Risk: Critical — metal fragments can be propelled at vehicle occupants, causing serious injury or death.
Remedy: Free replacement inflator at any authorised dealer. Treat as 'do not drive' until repaired.

CRITICALAirbag

Issue: Non-Alpha Takata airbag inflator degrades over time, particularly in humid climates.
Risk: Inflator may rupture and project metal shrapnel.
Remedy: Free replacement. Mandatory compulsory recall closed in late 2020 — any remaining vehicles must be remediated immediately.
