Pre-purchase car inspection in Glenmore Park.

Glenmore Park sits in the Nepean basin under the mountains, and it is family-car country: seven-seat SUVs, dual-cabs with tow bars, second cars for teenagers, and a dealer strip a few minutes away that supplies much of western Sydney. It is a good place to buy a used car. It is also a place where three local factors quietly shape the condition of almost every vehicle on the market: extreme summer heat, severe storm activity, and a very high rate of towing. We come to the car, complete a structured inspection, run a professional multi-module diagnostic scan, road test it including motorway speed and a proper gradient, and hand you a written, photographed report on the spot with a plain verdict and costed repairs. We do not sell cars. You pay us, the seller does not, and the report says exactly what we found.

Same-day or next-day inspection appointments, subject to availability.

Local conditions

Three things that shape cars in the Nepean basin

Heat, first: this is among the hottest parts of the Sydney basin, and sustained extreme heat degrades batteries, coolant, transmission fluid, hoses, belts and plastic intake components while putting air conditioning under constant maximum load. Storms, second: every significant hail event puts a wave of repaired vehicles back onto the market. And towing, third, which on hot days over the mountain foothills is the hardest work an automatic transmission and cooling system ever do.

Hail repair and storm damage history

We take paint-depth readings across the roof, bonnet and boot, because paintless dent removal leaves readings and panel contours that tell the story even when the paint looks perfect. We check for roof-skin ripple under raking light, replaced glass with date stamps out of sequence, resealed windscreen mouldings, and water ingress from a poorly refitted screen, and we verify the vehicle's identity and status against the compliance data.

Transmission and cooling stress from towing in heat

Fluid condition and colour, shift quality through the full range, flare and delay, stored temperature and slip faults on the scan, transmission cooler condition, radiator and condenser fin corrosion, both fan stages verified, coolant condition and concentration, hose and belt condition. On a tow vehicle in this climate, a marginal cooling system is the fault that ends an engine.

Batteries and charging systems cooked by summer

Heat is harder on a battery than cold is. We test battery condition and cranking performance, check charging output and voltage regulation, and inspect terminals and cabling for heat and corrosion damage. On start-stop vehicles we check whether the correct battery type has been fitted, because the wrong one fails early and produces a string of confusing electrical faults.

Air conditioning that cannot cope

We measure vent output temperature with a gauge, check compressor engagement and cycling, inspect the condenser for stone and corrosion damage and check the cabin filter. Out here a weak air conditioning system is not a minor defect.

Second and third cars running on deferred maintenance

There are a lot of older, cheaper second cars in this area, often driven by younger drivers and serviced irregularly. On those we look especially hard at brakes, tyres and tyre age, suspension, cooling system condition and overdue timing belts or chains, because deferred maintenance stacks up invisibly.

Suspension and driveline wear from load

Tow vehicles sit low at the rear, wear their rear bushes and shocks early, and load their driveline joints and wheel bearings. We check ride height, bush condition, shock performance, CV and tailshaft joints, and the rear chassis and tow bar mounting points for stress cracking.

Underbody damage from unsealed roads

A great many cars here spend time on unsealed roads heading west or toward the river. We inspect sumps, undertrays, exhausts, subframes and suspension arms for impact damage, and check the air intake and filters for dust ingestion.

Worth arranging before we arrive in Glenmore Park

  • Ask whether the car has ever been hail damaged or storm repaired.
  • Ask whether it has towed, what it towed and how often.
  • Ask whether the windscreen or any glass has been replaced.
  • Ask when the battery was last replaced and whether the correct type was fitted.
  • Ask for the service history and check the intervals against the kilometres.
  • Ask whether it has spent time on unsealed roads.
How it works

Booked, inspected, reported.

You don't need to be there and you don't need to move the car. Timing depends on inspector availability in your area and on when the seller can make the vehicle available — we confirm a time with you once we've spoken to them.

  1. 1

    Book online or call us

Send the listing and the address of the car. Tell us if there is anything specific you want checked.

  2. 2

We arrange the time with the seller

We contact the seller or the dealership directly and lock in a time that suits both sides, based on inspector availability in your area. You don't need to be there.

  3. 3

The inspection happens at the car

A qualified mobile inspector attends the vehicle where it is and works through the full checklist, including a road test.

  4. 4

You get the report before you commit

Comprehensive and Elite reports are issued on site. Essential reports are delivered the same day. Every report ends with a plain-English recommendation and a phone call if you want to talk it through.

Straight answers

What a mobile inspection can't tell you.

A pre-purchase inspection in Glenmore Park removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.

  • We do not dismantle the engine, remove the gearbox or pull interior trim, so faults only visible during disassembly can't be ruled out. On Comprehensive and Elite, the engine undertray is removed where fitted, safely accessible and permitted.
  • We work at the vehicle's location, not on a hoist. Underbody checks are done on portable ramps where safe and permitted; seized fasteners, unsafe access or seller refusal are recorded as inspection limitations.
  • A cold-start assessment is only possible if the seller leaves the engine untouched before we arrive. If the car has been warmed up, we record that in the report.
  • The road test runs on public roads at legal speeds, so it can't reproduce every intermittent fault or a fault that only appears under load or after long distances.
  • A PPSR check reports what is registered against the VIN on the day. It cannot show unreported damage or work done off the books.
  • The report describes the vehicle's condition on the day of inspection. It is not a warranty and not a valuation guarantee.

We identify the strong indicators: paint-depth readings across roof, bonnet and boot, panel contour under raking light, replaced glass with inconsistent date stamps and resealed mouldings, all reported with photographs.
