Pre-purchase car inspection in North Parramatta.

North Parramatta runs north from the Parramatta River and Parramatta Park along Church Street and Pennant Hills Road, mixing heritage cottages, walk-up flats and newer apartment towers. We are mobile, so the inspection happens at the car — a driveway, a visitor bay or a dealer forecourt — and the written report reaches you before you pay a deposit.

Inspecting a car in North Parramatta, practically speaking

The 2151 job is defined by density and by traffic: heritage streets with no off-street parking, apartment blocks with permit-only basements, and two heavy arterials — Church Street and Pennant Hills Road — running through the middle of it.

Heritage streets, no driveway, resident parking only

Large parts of the older grid north of Parramatta Park have no off-street parking at all, and much of the kerbside is resident-permit. That is a genuine constraint on an inspection, not a detail: a car boxed in on a permit kerb cannot have its doors opened fully, cannot be walked with a paint gauge and cannot be safely jacked. We ask the seller to nominate a spot with clear space either side, or to meet the inspector at a nearby off-street location, and we agree that before the appointment rather than on the day.

Apartment basements and visitor bays

The newer towers along the Church Street corridor park residents underground. Where that is the case we ask for the car to be brought up into daylight — visitor bays or the street — because paint condition, panel alignment, glass and underbody corrosion simply cannot be read honestly under low-clearance artificial light. If it stays underground, we inspect what we can and the report names each check the location prevented.

Arterial stop-start wear, and where we road test

Church Street and Pennant Hills Road are two of the harder commutes in Western Sydney, and cars that live on them show it in the clutch or torque converter, the brakes and the cooling system. A slow lap of the block will not surface any of that, so we take the vehicle onto a route that includes a sustained higher-speed leg — the M4 and the Cumberland Highway are both close — and we watch live scan-tool data through the shift range while we do it.

Worth arranging before we arrive in North Parramatta

  • Confirm with the seller where the car will be parked, and ask for a spot with clear space on both sides.
  • If the car lives in an apartment basement, ask for it to be brought up to a visitor bay or the street in daylight.
  • Leave the engine cold and have the service records, spare key and owner's manual ready.
How it works

Booked, inspected, reported.

You don't need to be there and you don't need to move the car. Timing depends on inspector availability in your area and on when the seller can make the vehicle available — we confirm a time with you once we've spoken to them.

  1. 1

    Book online or call us

Send the listing and the address of the car. Tell us if there is anything specific you want checked.

  2. 2

We arrange the time with the seller

We contact the seller or the dealership directly and lock in a time that suits both sides, based on inspector availability in your area. You don't need to be there.

  3. 3

The inspection happens at the car

A qualified mobile inspector attends the vehicle where it is and works through the full checklist, including a road test.

  4. 4

You get the report before you commit

Comprehensive and Elite reports are issued on site. Essential reports are delivered the same day. Every report ends with a plain-English recommendation and a phone call if you want to talk it through.

Straight answers

What a mobile inspection can't tell you.

A pre-purchase inspection in North Parramatta removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.

  • We do not dismantle the engine, remove the gearbox or pull interior trim, so faults only visible during disassembly can't be ruled out. On Comprehensive and Elite, the engine undertray is removed where fitted, safely accessible and permitted.
  • We work at the vehicle's location, not on a hoist. Underbody checks are done on portable ramps where safe and permitted; seized fasteners, unsafe access or seller refusal are recorded as inspection limitations.
  • A cold-start assessment is only possible if the seller leaves the engine untouched before we arrive. If the car has been warmed up, we record that in the report.
  • The road test runs on public roads at legal speeds, so it can't reproduce every intermittent fault or a fault that only appears under load or after long distances.
  • A PPSR check reports what is registered against the VIN on the day. It cannot show unreported damage or work done off the books.
  • The report describes the vehicle's condition on the day of inspection. It is not a warranty and not a valuation guarantee.
