What a mobile inspection cannot do
- We do not dismantle the engine, remove the gearbox or pull interior trim, so faults only visible during disassembly can't be ruled out. On Comprehensive and Elite, the engine undertray is removed where fitted, safely accessible and permitted.
- We work at the vehicle's location, not on a hoist. Underbody checks are done on portable ramps where safe and permitted; seized fasteners, unsafe access or seller refusal are recorded as inspection limitations.
- A cold-start assessment is only possible if the seller leaves the engine untouched before we arrive. If the car has been warmed up, we record that in the report.
- The road test runs on public roads at legal speeds, so it can't reproduce every intermittent fault or a fault that only appears under load or after long distances.
- A PPSR check reports what is registered against the VIN on the day. It cannot show unreported damage or work done off the books.
- The report describes the vehicle's condition on the day of inspection. It is not a warranty and not a valuation guarantee.

Elite Buyers' Protection carries a written missed-fault repair cover: if we miss a fault that we should have found, we contribute up to $3,000 towards putting it right within 30 days of the inspection. Essential is $199, Comprehensive is $329 (10% off with code SAVE10) and Elite Buyers' Protection is $449. The EV / hybrid battery health add-on is $199 on top of any tier. Pricing is flat — there is no surcharge for vehicle age, prestige badges or distance inside our coverage area.
Essential suits an older, cheaper car where you mainly want safety, fault codes and measured brake and tyre life. Comprehensive is the right depth for most cars — it adds the full mechanical assessment, the undertray-off leak check, every suspension bush, PPSR and costed repairs. Elite is for prestige, European, near-new or higher-value cars, and for buyers who want us to negotiate on site.

Comprehensive and Elite reports are issued on site, before the inspector leaves. Essential is a written photo report delivered the same day. Every report ends with a plain-English recommendation, and you can call us to talk it through.
On Comprehensive and Elite, yes — where an undertray or belly pan is fitted, safely accessible and the owner or seller permits it. That is how oil, coolant, transmission, power-steering and differential leaks get traced to their source. If a fastener is seized, access is unsafe or the seller declines, we record it in the report as an inspection limitation.
A full PPSR history report is included on Comprehensive and Elite. It shows finance owing against the vehicle, written-off status and whether it is recorded as stolen. A lender's security interest survives a private sale, so an encumbered car can be repossessed from you after you have paid the seller.
Walk away. A seller with nothing to hide has no reason to refuse an independent check, and refusal is one of the strongest red flags in a used-car purchase. Tell us at booking and we will refund you if the inspection cannot go ahead for a reason outside your control.
