Highway forecourts park for display, not for assessment
Along the Hume Highway frontage every metre of display space is selling space, so stock is set nose-out and door-to-door. You cannot open a door to its stop, you cannot walk a paint gauge down a flank at a consistent angle and you cannot get a torch along the sills. Our first request at a Casula yard is that the car be moved to the service area or the rear of the lot with clear space on both sides, unlocked, with keys available. If the yard cannot free that space, the report names each item the parking prevented instead of quietly recording it as inspected.
