Beach parking puts sand into window channels, door drains and seat runners, and grit accelerates wear on brake components and window regulator motors. We operate every window and door lock, check the drains, and inspect the brake hardware for scoring and seized slides rather than only measuring pad thickness.
Kerb space near the beach and the mall is metered, time-limited and constantly turning over, which is a poor environment for a careful inspection. We arrange to work at the seller's driveway, garage forecourt or a quiet street back from the beach so there is room and time to do the body assessment properly.
