The classic Five Dock driveway runs down one side of the house with a fence on one side and brickwork on the other. A car parked in it cannot have its doors opened fully or be sighted along the flanks for panel ripple, and there is nowhere safe to set up ramps. We usually ask for it to be rolled forward onto the apron or the kerb.
The kerbs along the shopping strip are short-stay. If the seller wants to meet near the shops, that clock will run out before a Comprehensive inspection and road test are finished, so we agree a residential street or off-street spot in advance instead.

Consumables such as tyres, brake pads, wipers and a tired battery are normal and quantifiable. Structural repair evidence, corrosion and drivetrain faults are a different conversation. The report separates the two so you can price them differently.

We can, but the assessment is better if it is moved out. With a fence on one side there is no room to open doors fully, sight along the panels or work safely beside the car. Moving it forward a few metres takes a moment and improves the body section of the report substantially.
