O'Riordan Street, Botany Road and the airport approaches carry sustained traffic at real speed with frequent heavy braking. Where the car is registered and insured and the seller consents, that gives us the load conditions an honest road test needs — brake shudder, driveline vibration and lock-up behaviour show under exactly that kind of use.
Multi-level basements here have steep transition ramps that mark low vehicles. We separate cosmetic scraping on a plastic bar from actual damage to the sump, sump guard, exhaust hangers or subframe, and photograph the underside so the difference is visible in the report instead of being described in a line of text.

If we miss a major fault that was present at the time of inspection on an Elite Buyers' Protection inspection, we contribute up to $3,000 toward the repair within 30 days. Essential and Comprehensive do not include this cover.
A pre-purchase inspection in Mascot removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.
We arrange it with the seller in advance — fob or intercom access, a meeting point, and ideally the car brought up to street level for the body and underbody portions. Everything electronic and mechanical can be assessed underground; what suffers is paint reading and visibility beneath the car, and any check the parking limited is stated in the report.
Not from the advertisement.
