That matters because wheel balance, driveline vibration, torque-converter lock-up and steering pull only reveal themselves above suburban speeds. Where the car is registered and the seller consents, the drive uses one of those roads rather than a loop of the block.
Streets close to the Bankstown line get regular train noise. Some faults are heard before they are measured — a dry bearing, a lifter tick, an exhaust blow — so under noise we do the listening work between train movements and confirm what we hear with instruments and scan-tool data rather than relying on ear alone.
Single brick garages from the postwar era are narrow, dim and often full. A car stored in one for years can look immaculate in the gloom and quite different on the street. We do not assess paint or panel alignment inside a garage; the car comes out to daylight, or the report states which body checks were limited and why.

A pre-purchase inspection in Punchbowl removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.

The simple fix is reversing the car onto the apron or the street before we start, which takes the seller thirty seconds and materially improves the body section of the report.

Yes. A cleared dash does not mean a clean car — codes can be erased minutes before a viewing, and readiness monitors will show when that has happened. We read live data and stored and pending codes across the modules the vehicle exposes, and the report shows what was found rather than just whether a light was illuminated.
Yes. We deal with the seller directly to arrange access, inspect, and send you the report. Comprehensive and Elite reports are issued on site; Essential reports arrive the same day. You can call the inspector afterwards and ask about anything in it before you decide.
