EV
Regenerative braking
EV braking that returns energy to the battery and reduces brake-pad wear.
Because EVs use regen to slow down, friction brake pads often last 80,000–150,000 km — three times longer than ICE pads. But the rotors can corrode from underuse. Inspect both: thick pads AND clean, flat rotors. Heavily worn EV pads suggest the car was driven without regen (towing, dragstrip, faulty system).
