Austral is changing quickly, and that is the defining fact of a 2179 inspection: brand-new estate streets, older acreage frontages, and construction traffic between them.
In the newer estates the lots are compact, driveways are short and the street may still have builders' vehicles and skips on it. The inspector needs clear space around the car to open doors fully and to raise it safely where the tier includes underbody work. Tell us at booking if the address is in an active build area and we will ask the seller to have the car on a clear driveway or a nearby unobstructed section of street.
Cars used around active development sites and unsealed access take in more dust and grit than average, and that shows up in specific places. We check air filter condition, dust and grit accumulation in the engine bay and around seals, brake dust and disc surface condition, suspension bush and boot integrity including CV boots for splits, and the condition of the underbody protection. A high proportion of vehicles offered in the growth corridor are utes and light commercials with trays, canopies, tow bars, racks and aftermarket wiring. Those fittings can also conceal repaired structure. Where access allows we inspect behind and beneath them — chassis rails, inner guards, tow-bar mounting points and surrounding structure, trailer wiring function, rear suspension sag and bump-stop contact — and we scan every module for stored and pending faults.

Yes, and we adjust the inspection for them — tray and canopy mounting, tow bar and trailer wiring, suspension wear and bushing condition, underbody protection, and a full diagnostic scan for stored and pending faults.
Where the seller consents and the vehicle is registered and safe to drive, yes. From Austral we can include a higher-speed leg, which is where driveline vibration, transmission shudder and brake pulsation actually reveal themselves.
