A lot of Belfield blocks have a single shared driveway serving two dwellings, or a tandem drive with a second car behind. If the inspection car is blocked in, the road test cannot happen and the underbody sight-line is compromised. We ask the seller to clear the drive and have the car front-most before the booked time.
With no dealer involved there is no statutory dealer warranty and no dealer guarantee of clear title. The PPSR check included with Comprehensive and Elite therefore does real work: it confirms whether finance is registered against the VIN, whether the vehicle has been recorded as a written-off vehicle and whether it has been reported stolen.
Cars based here spend much of their life in stop-start traffic on Burwood Road, Punchbowl Road and Canterbury Road. That specific duty cycle loads clutches, torque converters, brakes and cooling systems. We brake-stall test automatics where safe, read transmission and coolant data on the scan tool, and measure remaining brake material rather than eyeballing the pads.
Where the car lives at the kerb we check alloy rims and tyre sidewalls for strike damage, do a full-lock turn in both directions to listen for CV and steering-rack complaints, and look along the traffic side for door dings and repaired scrapes with a paint-depth gauge rather than by eye.

A pre-purchase inspection in Belfield removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.

No. Belfield 2191 is inside the standard Sydney service area, so the advertised prices apply: $199 Essential, $329 Comprehensive, $449 Elite, plus $199 for the EV or hybrid battery health assessment. All prices include GST.
We can do the static work, but a blocked-in car cannot be road tested and the underbody cannot be viewed properly. Both are significant. We ask for the driveway to be cleared before the booking, and if it is not, the report records exactly which checks that prevented.
Every finding is photographed and explained in plain language, with a severity indication. That gives you something specific to raise with the seller — a documented defect rather than a general impression. What you do with it is your decision; we do not negotiate on your behalf.
