Pre-purchase car inspection in Greenacre.

Greenacre runs between Roberts Road, Waterloo Road and the Hume Highway edge at Chullora, so a lot of the buying here happens either in a wide suburban driveway or on the fringe of a working industrial precinct. We inspect the car where it already is and put the written report in your hands before any money changes hands.

Buying in Greenacre

Inspecting a car in Greenacre, practically speaking

The 2190 job splits cleanly into two: residential streets with generous driveways where a full inspection is straightforward, and the Chullora industrial edge where the car may be standing on a hardstand among trucks and the access has to be arranged in advance.

Wide driveways are an advantage — use them

Unlike the tighter inner suburbs, most Greenacre houses have real off-street space. That is genuinely useful: we can open every door to its stop, run the paint gauge down both flanks in daylight, get a torch and a mirror along the sills and the rear subframe, and set up a cold start without an audience of passing traffic. When you book, ask the seller to leave the car on the driveway rather than in the garage or on the kerb.

The Chullora and Waterloo Road industrial edge is a different access problem

Vehicles sold from premises along the Roberts Road and Waterloo Road corridor are often parked on shared hardstand with trucks moving through it. Those sites can be perfectly fine to inspect in, but only if someone has arranged for the car to be pulled out to a clear bay with the keys available and the site happy to have us there for the full appointment. Tell us the address type at booking and we will confirm access before the inspector is dispatched.

Heavy-duty and towing fitments need to be assessed, not admired

Utes and wagons offered around this part of Canterbury-Bankstown frequently carry tow bars, bull bars, trays, canopies and aftermarket wiring. Any of that can also be hiding repaired structure. We inspect behind the fitments where access allows: chassis rails and inner guards, tow-bar mounting points and the condition of the wiring loom, and we scan every control module for stored and pending faults so a cleared dash light does not read as a clean bill of health.

Worth arranging before we arrive in Greenacre

  • Leave the car cold. A warmed-up engine hides cold-start rattle, smoke on start and slow oil-pressure build.
  • If the car is at a business address on the industrial edge, give us the site contact so we can confirm access and a clear bay before the appointment.
  • Tell us if the vehicle has a tow bar, tray, canopy or lift kit — we allow extra time to inspect behind and beneath aftermarket fitments.
How it works

Booked, inspected, reported.

You don't need to be there and you don't need to move the car. Timing depends on inspector availability in your area and on when the seller can make the vehicle available — we confirm a time with you once we've spoken to them.

  1. 1

    Book online or call us

Send the listing and the address of the car. Tell us if there is anything specific you want checked.

  2. 2

We arrange the time with the seller

We contact the seller or the dealership directly and lock in a time that suits both sides, based on inspector availability in your area. You don't need to be there.

  3. 3

The inspection happens at the car

A qualified mobile inspector attends the vehicle where it is and works through the full checklist, including a road test.

  4. 4

You get the report before you commit

Comprehensive and Elite reports are issued on site. Essential reports are delivered the same day. Every report ends with a plain-English recommendation and a phone call if you want to talk it through.

Straight answers

What a mobile inspection can't tell you.

A pre-purchase inspection in Greenacre removes most of the risk in a used-car purchase. It does not remove all of it, and you should know where the edges are before you book.

  • We do not dismantle the engine, remove the gearbox or pull interior trim, so faults only visible during disassembly can't be ruled out. On Comprehensive and Elite, the engine undertray is removed where fitted, safely accessible and permitted.
  • We work at the vehicle's location, not on a hoist. Underbody checks are done on portable ramps where safe and permitted; seized fasteners, unsafe access or seller refusal are recorded as inspection limitations.
  • A cold-start assessment is only possible if the seller leaves the engine untouched before we arrive. If the car has been warmed up, we record that in the report.
  • The road test runs on public roads at legal speeds, so it can't reproduce every intermittent fault or a fault that only appears under load or after long distances.
  • A PPSR check reports what is registered against the VIN on the day. It cannot show unreported damage or work done off the books.
  • The report describes the vehicle's condition on the day of inspection. It is not a warranty and not a valuation guarantee.
Questions

Greenacre buyers ask us this.

Yes. Light commercial utes, vans and wagons are a normal part of what we inspect across Canterbury-Bankstown. We check the tray or canopy mounting, the tow-bar and trailer wiring, suspension wear and bushing condition and the diagnostic fault memory, and we photograph everything that goes in the report.
