WOVR (Written-Off Vehicles Register)
The national record of vehicles that an insurer has declared a total loss.
A 'repairable write-off' can sometimes be re-registered in NSW after a blue slip — but many states have banned this. A 'statutory write-off' can never be re-registered. Either way, a WOVR record kills resale value by 30–50%. Always run a PPSR check before paying a deposit.
